ENTREPRENEURSHIP STUDIES
Entrepreneurship Studies at Ajayi Crowther University have been restructured as follows:
- All students studying at Ajayi Crowther University will be involved in entrepreneurship studies at all levels of their study
- All entrepreneurship studies will comprise of entrepreneurship skills and vocational skills acquisition which are to be coordinated by the Entrepreneurship Development Centre.
- At the 100L and 200L of study, students are exposed to entrepreneurship skills in form of professional courses as well as many vocational skills. Each student is required to study ONE professional course in the first semester and acquire ONE vocational skill in the second semester. (In the 2017/2018 session ONLY, both the professional courses and the vocational skills will be floated in the second semester). The available professional courses and vocational skills for 2017/2018 session are listed below.
300L students will be provided with some skill-sets in starting, developing and growing a new business venture that will be commercially viable and profitable. At 400L, students’ entrepreneurship activities will focus of entrepreneurship networking. Several known entrepreneurs will be invited to give talks, seminars, as well as participate in class discussions in order to build and maintain contacts and relationships with established entrepreneurs who may wish to mentor some of the students
The current 300L and 400L students are not affected by the above policy
- Successful students at the end of each programme in 100L and 200l will be awarded a Certificate of Competence in the professional courses/vocational skills they have passed. (A fee may be charged for the certificate)
- The entrepreneurship programmes for the 2017/2018 session will commence in the week of FEBRUARY 18, 2018. Students are to register ONLINE for the professional courses and vocational skills of their choice on or before MARCH 1, 2018 by following this link REGISTRATION FORM
- Students who are unable to register online can pick up a registration form from the office of their Faculty Officers. Completed forms must be returned to the Entrepreneurship Development Centre by the deadline. THERE WILL BE NO EXTENSION OF THE DEADLINE.
- Students are to NOTE that Entrepreneurship Education is COMPULSORY for all students at all levels of study.
