ACU STUDENT LAUNCHES BOOK

A final year student of Mass Communication in Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Gusanu Adebayo Mauton, has presented his book entitled ’21 lies the Devil Told Me’ to the public. The event took place at the Modupe and Folorunso Alakija Law Auditorium of the University. At the occasion, the Acting University Librarian, Barrister [Mrs.] Harriet Asaju, congratulated the author for writing the book, saying it will be a blessing and encouragement to younger people, especially students. She advised students to imbibe the habit of reading, saying it will do them good.

Parents of the author, Chief and Mrs Gusanu expressed gratitude to God for making them see the day. They described their son as a child of greatness, who is disciplined, hardworking and a spiritual motivator. In an interview Adebayo said his story was that of transformation from a boy with low self-esteem in the early years of secondary school, who could not even raise his hand to answer questions in class, even when he knew the answer, to a changed life with words of assurance and encouragement from the Bible. He said he began with writing plays for the drama unit of the Church and secondary school at the later part of his secondary school education. He started writing books when he began getting direct messages from God. He has written six books at the last count.
