Dr. J.A. Adejumobi – Representing Congregation

Dr. J. Ademola Adejumobi, holds a B.Sc (Hons) degree in Chemistry, Postgraduate Diploma in Analytical Chemistry and Ph.D in Chemistry obtained from University of Ibadan in 1969, 1970 and 1973 respectively. Dr. Adejumobi started his teaching career in 1979 as a Chemistry Lecturer at the Laboratory Technology Training Scheme, University of Ibadan. He joined The Polytechnic, Ibadan in 1974 as Lecturer Grade I where he rose to the position of a Senior Principal Lecturer.

While at The Polytechnic, Ibadan he held numerous administrative positions. These included Head of Chemistry Department 1978-1982, 1986-1990; Ag. Chairman, Faculty of Science 1982-1984; Dean, Faculty of Science 1990-1991; Chairman Committee of Deans 1990/91; Deputy Rector 1991-1995; Pioneer Dean, Students Affairs in 1998-2001 and Rector 2005-2008.

He joined Ajayi Crowther University in 2009 as Senior Lecturer and he is currently the Dean of Students Affairs of the University.
Dr. Adejumobi is a renowned chemist and researcher. He has several publications in learned journal. He also has many distinctions and awards to his credit. This includes UNESCO Fellowship to University College, Dublin in 1972.
