EKITI CHIEF JUDGE DELIVERS LECTURE AT ACU FACULTY OF LAW
Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Hon. Justice Ayodeji Daramola, penultimate Thursday gave a lecture at the Law Faculty of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo. Title of his lecture was ‘The Law and Administration of Justice: The Role of Lawyers’. He condemned the antics of some senior lawyers who go all out to impede and frustrate corruption cases, saying it does not give the legal practice a good image. He told his audience, made up of the Vice- Chancellor of the University, Rt. Rev. Professor Dapo Asaju, Deans of Faculties, Justice Mojisola Abodunde, a High Court Judge in Ekiti, law students, their lecturers and other people, that Lawyers and Judges should not give the public the impression that they do not want speedy trial of corruption cases by using all manner of tactics to delay or impede trials. He gave law students tips on expectations from them when they go into practice.
Earlier, Justice Abodunde had presided over the Moot court session in the Faculty. After the Lecture, the Vice- Chancellor thanked the duo for honouring the University’s invitation and said arrangements have been concluded for more of such high profile lectures for Law Students in the University.
