IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO ALL PARENTS/SPONSORS
1. PAYMENT OF FEES
(a) Payment of fees is in three installments, and the third installment will be due for payment on resumption for Second Semester.
(b) Parents/Sponsors are to pay their children/wards’ fees directly into the University’s account, scan the tellers and e-mail them to the students for further processing.
(c) Parents/Sponsors are advised to stop payment of fees into the students’ accounts because students will not be given exeat to go out of the University to pay their fees.
(d) All issues relating to banking activities must be resolved during the holidays as students will not be given exeat for banking activities. They are required to use ATM facilities on the campus for their banking activities.
2. PARENTS/SPONSORS’ TIME OF VISIT
Parents/Sponsors are allowed to visit their children/wards on the third Saturday of every month from 10.00a.m. to 4.00p.m. Kindly adhere strictly to this schedule.
3. CALLS TO PRINCIPAL OFFICERS
Please stop putting calls to Principal Officers of the University. All calls should be put across to the Parents/Sponsors Forum or the Students’ Affairs Offices where prompt actions will be taken on your inquiries, suggestions, etc.
4. EXEAT POLICY
Please note the following procedure for issuance of exeat to students
(i) Students are to download the Exeat forms online for completion
(ii) Exeat forms for Day-Out and Travel Permits must be submitted at least 48 hours before the outing day
(iii) Exeat Application for Social Functions must be submitted at least two weeks before the event; supported with valid/original invitation card
(iv) Exeat issuance days are strictly Tuesdays and Thursdays
(v) Screening of applicants takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 1.00p.m. to 3.00p.m. ONLY
(vi) Exeats will be granted to students only for genuine/reasonable requests in the interest of the students.
5. SIWES PROGRAMME
300 Level students on SIWES programme during the second semester are exempted from payment for accommodation during the semester and on no account should they be allowed into the hostels during the second semester. They must however pay their fees and register for the second semester.
