STUDENTS’ CHARACTER ASSESSMENT RECORD (MARCH TO MAY 2018)

The Senate of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo has decided to assess the character of each student, because University certificates are awarded based on learning and character.
In pursuance of this, a Course tagged ‘Character and Behavioural Ethics’ has been made compulsory for all students. If any student fails this Compulsory Course on account of several acts of misdemeanour, he/she will not graduate from the University when due, irrespective of his/her academic performance. As students are apprehended in acts of misbehaviour (those highlighted in the records and other culpable offences), marks are deducted from the total earnable score, and these are reflected in the record below.
A penalty of N5,000 (five thousand Naira) shall be paid for everyday of absence from community services by students.

This List is published for he attention of students and their parents, for general information and in order to put them on notice of the rating of students under the character assessment, as well as to advise students who are to pay monetary penalties to do so in the Bursary and obtain clearance, otherwise, they might be prevented from writing the forthcoming examinations.

In addition to this, students caught in possession of hard drugs and substances of abuse, or caught engaging in acts that threaten their peaceful coexistence with other students on campus will be summarily dismissed from the University.

Parents are encouraged to carefully admonish and caution their children and wards to be law abiding and be of good behaviour as this Christian University has zero tolerance for criminal tendencies and violation of its Laws and Code of Conduct.

All students are informed that this assessment is continuous and would run throughout the academic session. Supplementary list of students not on this list shall be published soon.
