ITF HOLDS ZONAL MEETING IN ACU

The First quarterly zonal meeting of SIWES coordinators in Oyo and Osun states held at Ajayi Crowther University on Monday February 7, 2019. Coordinators of Students Industrial Work Experience [SIWES] in higher institutions in Oyo and Osun states came for the meeting. The Deputy Vice- Chancellor , Professor Jacob Adeniyi, received the team from the Ibadan zonal office of Industrial Training Fund[ITF] led by Mr. Lawrence Adebambo, Head of Training of the organization.  The DVC requested that the six months allocated to the programme be reviewed because it was eating into their academic programme. Mr L. Adebambo said the duration was fixed at the general meeting between ITF and all coordinators in participating institutions in the country, stating that only such a meeting, not a zonal one, can change the duration.  At the opening ceremony, held at the ultra-modern Students’ Common Room, Mr. Adebambo said the Industrial Training Fund had paid outstanding allowances due to all participating institutions in the zone.
