Prof. S. A. Ilori – Member

Professor Samuel A. ILORI, was born on 11th January, 1945. He graduated with First Class Honours degree in Mathematics in 1968 from the University of Ibadan.

He obtained the Diploma in Advanced Mathematics in 1969 from the University of Oxford, U.K. and a D.Phil. degree in Mathematics from the same University in 1972.

He was a recipient of various awards and scholarships during his academic career. He became a Professor of Mathematics at the University of Ibadan in 1982 and was elected a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Science in 2006.

Professor Ilori has published many well-researched papers in internationally recognized scientific journals and written several Mathematics textbooks.
He served the University of Ibadan in various capacities as Head, Department of Mathematics (2003 -2006), Provost, College of Science and Technology (1990 – 1994), Dean, Faculty of Science (May 1990 – November), Sub-Dean, Physical and Mathematics (1977 – 1979). He was also the Chairman of Council of St. Andrew’s College.

Professor Ilori has over 20 academic awards and distinctions to his credit. He is also a member of numerous academic and professional bodies.
He is happily married with Children.
