Prof. S.O. Abogunrin – Representing Senate

Rev. Professor Samuel Oyinloye Kolade ABOGUNRIN, was born on 24th September 1943. He obtained his Diploma in Theology from United Missionary Theological College, Ilorin in 1962, B.A. (Hons) from University of Ibadan in 1972, M.Th from University of Aberdeen, Aberdeen, UK in 1973 and Ph.D from University of Ibadan in 1978. He is a Fellow Nigerian Academy of Letters.

He was Dean Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan, Ibadan from 1991 -1994, he was Ag. Dean, Postgraduate School for several times between 1991 and 1994 and Ag. Provost of the defunct College of Arts, Social Science and Law between 1991 and 1993.

Professor Abogunrin is a member of over seven (7) learned societies and he has widely published both nationally and internationally. He had also served as the General Editor and Co-ordinator of the Project for the Study Bible for Africa and General Editor Book series of the Nigerian Association for Biblical Studies.
