JUSTICE BABASOLA OGUNADE LAW LIBRARY

Justice Babasola Ogunade Law Library is a branch Library under the main University Library – TY Danjuma Library with the mandate of servicing the legal information needs of its faculty, law students as well as visiting legal researchers. Named after Honorable Justice Babasola Ogunade, the Law Library is housed within a magnificent edifice currently regarded as the most beautiful Law Faculty in Nigeria.

Established in the year 2014, the Law Library has separate facilities for undergraduate and postgraduate students. It also boasts of other facilities such as a conference room, audiovisual room, research room, bindery and a beautiful lobby. The collections are carefully selected in array of formats that will meet the varying needs of our esteemed users. The Library is rich in both paper-based and electronic resources ranging from textbooks, journals, statutes, gazettes, law reports, forms and precedents and a host of other legal information resources.

Considering the place of e-library in conducting legal research, the Law Library is well equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that will ensure sound legal research. The databases subscribed to are in conformity with the requirements of both the Council of Legal Education (CLE) and the National Universities Commission (NUC).

  • All Federation Weekly Law Reports.

In line with the obligation to provide all-inclusive services to all categories of users, the Law Library is accessible to all categories of users including persons with disabilities, through the provision of a ramp and elevators around the library environment. Meanwhile, efforts are at the top gear to ensure that research guilds are provided for our users who should be able to access these resources within the comfort of their homes.
