MORE AND MORE PARENTS PATRONIZE ACU
Impressed by the quality of its educational standards, security of its campus, and its moderate costs, more and more parents have continued to troop into Ajayi Crowther University, (ACU) Oyo with their children, saying they prefer to educate their children with the fear of God.
Ajayi Crowther University located in the ancient city of Oyo with a catchphrase “…raising Godly intellectuals” threw its gate open for the 2023/2024 academic session recently with several parents from different parts of the country bringing their children to savour the quality of the excellent university education obtainable in the faith-based institution.
A parent, Dr. Samson Olanrewaju in an interview said, “I initially wanted my son to attend a particular university located along Lagos-Ibadan express road. I had to change my mind to bring him to Ajayi Crowther University when I realized that “that particular university is established by an individual whereas ACU is founded by the Anglican communion. You cannot compare a university established by one person with a university established by an organization”
Dr. Olanrewaju while buttressing his assertion, insisted that “it is on record that Anglican communion from time immemorial is known for quality education and Godliness, therefore, any parent who wants quality education for his children with the touch of fear of God will naturally gravitate towards ACU. That is why I have decided to bring my boy here”
Besides, according to the soft-spoken businessman, “the cost of attending this university is moderate and the university even allows you to pay in three installments. What else can a parent ask for? The campus is safe. The academic calendar will run without disruption because there is no problem of strike here. I think I have made the right choice”
Meanwhile, the Registrar of the university, Dr. Jadesola Babatola has assured both parents and fresh students of ACU of a refreshing and exciting experience in the university, pointing out that they would not regret choosing ACU for their university education.
Dr. Babatola while welcoming the fresh students on behalf of the university Management stated that every arrangement had been made towards ensuring that both academic and social activities run seamlessly in the university.
Urging the new students to handle their newly found academic freedom with circumspection, the Registrar maintained that “for security reasons, this is not a university where students go out of the campus without obtaining due permission from the Management. In this university, we are responsible for the safety and security of every student”
