AKEREDOLU LAUDS ACU GRADUATES’ OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE IN BAR EXAM

Former Dean of the Faculty of Law, Ajayi Crowther University, Justice Prof. Alero Akeredolu, who is now a judge in Ondo State High Court, has commended the feats of Law students at the final Bar examinations, ascribing it to good work of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Timothy Adebayo.

During a visit to the University on March 15, 2024, Akeredolu said that the students did the University proud, urging the institution to continue placing merit over other considerations in its admission process.

She said: “I was here (ACU) from 2016 to 2018 and served as the Dean of the Faculty of Law between 2017 and 2018. Since I left the institution, I have been in touch with all its development.

“I was very impressed with ACU Law students’ recent results at the Law School, they really made us proud. It was well celebrated and I am happy about it. They had first class and that is credit to the students, staff as well as the conducive atmosphere provided by the school management in keeping up the standard.

“The University has been providing a supporting environment and they can’t stop doing that in terms of the quality of lecturers that they have. I am aware that they have always given admissions to candidates strictly on merit even in the supplementary list,” she said.

While showing admiration for the infrastructural development in the school, Akeredolu showered praises on the VC for making the difference since his assumption of office.

She stated, “Immediately I came into the campus, I could see development in the infrastructure. The Faculty (of Law)has been renovated and a new building put up and named in honour of Chief Wole Olanipekun. Coming in, the atmosphere is inviting and that is a testimony to the good work of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Adebayo, and his management team. I wish him the best and God will continue to strengthen him to do more.”
