ACU Concludes 2026 Game League with Multiple Faculty Victories

The 2026 Ajayi Crowther University (ACU) Game League came to a close on June 5, after athletes from various faculties have showcased impressive performances across various sporting events under a healthy competitive sporting atmosphere.

The final day event featured a football match between Faculty of Natural Sciences and Faculty of Engineering.

At the final whistle, Faculty of Natural Sciences emerged champions, with the Faculty of Engineering securing second place and the Faculty of Law finishing third on the football league table.

The Department of Computing claimed the volleyball title, while the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Humanities placed second and third, respectively.

Tennis event was dominated by the Faculty of Natural Sciences, which secured both first and second positions. The Faculty of Law finished in third place.

In the male basketball category, the Faculty of Law emerged victorious, followed by the Faculty of Social Sciences in second place and the Faculty of Natural Sciences in third.

The Faculty of Law also triumphed in the female basketball competition. The Faculty of Humanities secured second place, while the Department of Mass Communication finished third.

The Sports Committee expressed its appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor for the support and commitment that contributed to the successful organization of the games.

Outstanding participants were also recognized with medals and awards, including honours for Most Valuable Players (MVPs), top scorers, and best captains across the various sporting events.
