MEMO TO ALL FINAL YEAR GRADUATING STUDENTS

MEMO TO ALL FINAL YEAR GRADUATING STUDENTS

You should recall that after the successful completion of the just concluded second-semester Online examinations, the Central Examination Committee announced that they would be supplementary examinations for students who complained that they encountered certain difficulties in the just concluded examinations.

The supplementary examinations were scheduled to start Thursday, 27th August 2020. However, in the course of scrutinising various students’ complaints and observations, it was discovered that some final year students have carryover courses from 1st semester, 2019,2020 examinations, which are better remedied during the proposed supplementary examinations.

Therefore, the University has decided to give such final year students an opportunity to remedy the compulsory courses they may have outstanding/failed at all levels. Such students are to print out, complete the attached form (the PDF document  is attached at the end of this post) scan and send clear copies to [email protected] latest by Sunday, 30th August, 2020. Failure to do this will imply that such students will not participate in the supplementary examinations and will not graduate this academic year, 2019/2020.

The Examinations Timetable for these supplementary examinations shall be published soon on the University Web Site.

Consequently, the Vice-Chancellor has graciously approved the remedial examinations for these final year students which will now run from Tuesday, 1st September to Thursday 3rd September 2020.

To this effect, the Vice-Chancellor has directed that all first semester 400 level results be uploaded by heads of departments, using only the students’ RAW scores and matric numbers. The completed forms shall later be sent to heads of departments for their perusal.
