ACU ISSUES TRANSPORTATION ADVISORY TO STUDENTS, STAFF

Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, has issued a safety advisory urging parents, students, and staff to use only government-approved designated motor parks when traveling to any of the university’s campuses.

This caution comes in light of recent security concerns, where individuals who boarded vehicles along the expressway fell victim to kidnappers and bandits posing as commercial transport operators along major highways.

ACU Acting Registrar, Ven. Olusegun Ojo, said, “This advisory comes as a precautionary measure, in light of rising incidents where criminals disguised as commercial transporters have targeted unsuspecting passengers.

“The University calls on students to board vehicles only from government-approved motor parks when traveling to the university. This step is crucial in ensuring their safety as they return for the new semester. By following this advice, the risk of being kidnapped or involved in other security threats during their journey could be checked.
