CIRCULAR TO PARENTS/SPONSORS/STAFF AND STUDENTS GUIDELINES FOR FRESH STUDENTS (100/200L)

The University Management has approved the resumption of all fresh students in the 2023/2024 academic session as follows:

Date: SATURDAY, 23RD SEPT., 2023 TO THURSDAY, 28TH SEPT., 2023

Venue of Registration:  MODUPE & FOLORUNSHO ALAKIJA AUDITORIUM FACULTY OF LAW

Time: 10.00 am to 5.00 pm daily

A. PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION AND HOSTEL ALLOCATION

  1. Security Check: Students are to subject themselves and their luggages to security checks and compliance with the Dress Code of the University at the ACU Welcome Centre on arrival.
  2. Financial Clearance: Students should thereafter proceed to Bursary Desk to present their evidence of payment at the Alakija Auditorium as follows:
    1. Acceptance Fee receipt
    2. Medical Screening Fee receipt and
    3. Receipt of Minimum of 1st installment of Tuition Fees.
  3. Souvenir Desk: Students cleared at Bursary Desk should proceed to Souvenir Desk and collect University gift.
  4. First Stage of Medical Test: Student will move from Souvenir Desk to undergo the 1st stage of medical test at the Pre-Registration Desk. They are to submit their downloaded and filled Health Centre Forms for registration at the Desk. Students unable to proceed beyond this point shall be directed accordingly.
  5. Registry Clearance Desk: Students with evidence of clearance from the previous desk shall start admissions documentation by presenting original and photocopies of the following:
    1. Notification of Admission
    2. JAMB Admission Letter
    3. O/L Results (maximum of two (2) sittings) with five (5) Credit Passes in subject combination while Direct Entry candidates should also present the original copies of their Certificates/Diploma/Degree in addition to the O/L Results (i.e WAEC/NECO)
  6. Student Affairs Desk:  Students cleared by the Registry Desk shall proceed to Student Affairs Desk for Hostel allocation and driven to their hostels with University Buses in batches.

B. PROCESS OF COURSE REGISTRATION AND COMMENCING ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES

C. REGISTRATION WITH HEALTH CENTRE

It is mandatory for all fresh students to visit the Digital Imaging Laboratory Centre and the University Health Centre to complete their Medical Test with the receipt of payment in their custody.

Fresh Students should present the receipt of Medical Screening fee of ₦11,000 (Eleven Thousand Naira) that covers the Digital Chest X-ray, Radiologist Report and Medical Examination paid on ACU payment portal to get examined and documented for access to primary health care facility of the University.  It is imperative to cooperate with the University Medical Team and Diagnostic experts and to collect ACU Health Centre card at end of the exercise.

All students should declare their health challenges or ailments to the Medical Doctor during medical examination at ACU Health Centre for medical history diagnosis and follow-up.  This is very important to avoid unforeseen medical emergencies and casualties.

D. UNIVERSITY HOSPITALITY AND DEVOTION

The University is looking forward to receiving the new set of students in hale and hearty conditions while wishing them a safe arrival. We are committed to raising godly intellectuals and encourage all students to attend and participate in Chapel services apart from their academic activities.  Church service holds every Sunday morning, while community service holds every Wednesday by 3.00 pm.

The University Library is a good point of intellectual growth through book reading, and conduct of academic research while the opportunity to participate in games and sports exist after daily academic activities.
