ENGINEER OLUKOJU PRESENTS INVENTION TO AJAYI CROWTHER UNIVERSITY
Tai A. Olukoju, an Engineer, recently presented his invention to Ajayi Crowther University,Oyo. The invention is an agricultural tool named SA KÓ BÀ, to rhyme with SACOBA( Saint Andrew’s College Old Boys Association), a group his late father belonged to. He made the presentation in memory of his dad, Dr. E. O. Olukoju, an Andrian, as old boy of Saint Andrew’s College, Oyo, are referred to. The late Olukoju was also former National Secretary of SACOBA .
His invention is a digger that makes digging holes faster and easier. It is a tool that can be used by farmers and other artisans. It can be used to make fence, plant plantain suckers and many other things that require digging a hole.
Engineer Olukoju , 56, a retired Major, in the United States Air Force (USAF) , is now a farmer and staff of the Faculty of Engineering , Ajayi Crowther University as the Electronics-Computers maintenance officer.
He hoped the school would mass- produce the tool to help make farming easier. The Vice- Chancellor, Professor Timothy Adebayo, welcomed the idea and commended Tai. Olukoju the invention and encouraged other inventors to follow their vision by making inventions that would help solve problems in their field of endeavour.
