Oyedeji is a Professor of Medical Microbiology and Molecular Diagnosis with the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos, Fellow of the West African Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science and Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria. He is a Medical Laboratory Scientist, Medical Microbiologist, Molecular biologist, Bioethicist/health research ethicist and a Health Logistician. He is a World Health Organization (WHO) accredited trainer in Project planning and evaluation/monitoring. He has also been trained by MEASURE EVALUATION in monitoring and evaluation of Public health programmes. He was the pioneer Dean of Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo and the current Director, Center for Research Ethics and Bioethics Training-University of Lagos (CREBTU). He is one of the founding members and member of the Board of Trustees of the Bioethics Society of Nigeria, & Chairman- College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Health Research Ethics Committee and vice chairman, University of Lagos Research Ethics committee. He is also the chairman of Initiative for Medical Diagnostic Awareness and the Director, MEDILAG CONSULT of the College of Medicine, University of Lagos. Prof. Oyedeji combines expertise in both biomedical and behavioral sciences & Research.
