REGISTRY STAFF PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO THE FAMILY OF LATE DEPUTY REGISTRAR
Some members of staff of the Registry in Ajayi Crowther University, led by the Registrar, Mrs. Adenike T. Fatogun, yesterday paid a condolence visit to the family of late Deputy Registrar ( VCO), Mr. Michael Abikoye, in Ilorin, Kwara state. The University Librarian, Dr. Mrs. Beatrice Fabunmi, accompanied the Registrar and others to the visit.
The Registrar told the family members that the University was shocked by the demise of Mr. Michael Abikoye, and expressed the University’s condolences to the family. She said the University would miss Mr. Abikoye, whose wealth of experience as an administrator had helped the Registry. She prayed to God to strengthen and console the family of the departed. She later contacted the Vice-Chancellor Professor Timothy Abiodun Adebayo, who spoke to the widow of late Micheal Abikoye on the telephone. Mr. Abikoye passed away in Lagos, on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. He was billed to travel to India for further treatment before the sad incident.
During the visit the Registrar asked Mrs. Modupe Alaba and Rev. Canon Alvan Ewuzie, who were in her entourage, to pray for the family. Other staff of the Registry who accompanied her to the visit include Mr. Isaac Ahkanolu, Mrs. Folashade Daniel, Mr. Abayomi Oduntan, Mrs. Jacobs Felicia Taiye, and Mr. Oloyede Kayode Amos. Mrs. Felicia Adekunbi Abikoye, wife of the departed Deputy Registrar, thanked the University for the visit. She said the family would keep the University abreast of the burial arrangements.
