VC, MONARCH LAY FOUNDATION FOR AWE CAMPUS OF AJAYI CROWTHER UNIVERSITY
The foundation for buildings in the Awe Campus of Ajayi Crowther University, Awe campus, we’re laid today, February 13, 2020, by Alawe of Awe, His Royal Highness Oba Cornelius Taiwo, the Vice-Chancellor, Rt. Rev. Prof. Dapo-Asaju F. Asaju, members of the University Management, and some member of the Oba’s cabinet.
At the event, the Oba said he was happy that the campus is being developed, and prayed that it will attract development to Awe, stressing that the people were peace-loving.
In his response, the Vice-Chancellor disclosed that the campus will accommodate the Faculty of Agriculture, Staff Quarters, and Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies. Foundations were laid for Faculty Office for Faculty of Agriculture, a block of five classrooms, including a Library, a block of ten flats for staff quarters, and the gate. As the foundations were being laid, staff and students of the Department of Geology were on site looking for an appropriate place to locate boreholes within the campus.
As a sign of Corporate Social Responsibility and to enhance security within the area, the Vice-Chancellor announced that the University would build the Divisional Police Station for Awe in a place very close to the campus. The announcement came to the delight of the Alawe and members, his cabinet, and Superintendent of Police(CSP) Justina Ogunleye, the Divisional Police Officer for Awe who was at the event.
