VC MOURNS PASSING OF DR ADEYEYE, PAYS TRIBUTE TO HIS LEGACY
The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Timothy Abiodun Adebayo, has expressed his grief over the passing of Dr Tolulope Charles Adeyeye of the Faculty of Management Sciences, a valued member of staff of the Unversity, whose death occurred on Monday, June 30, 2025.
In a tribute by the VC, he described Adeyeye’s death as a painful one for the entire institution, while also paying glowing tribute to him.
According to Prof Adebayo, the late Adeyeye was a hardworking, dependable, and committed individual, whose contributions have left a lasting impact on the University community.
“Late Adeyeye showed what integrity, excellence and loyalty are all about. He was widely respected by colleagues and students alike. His dedication to duty and display of professionalism made him not only a true ambassador of this our great ACU but also a role model.
“I pray for the peaceful repose of his soul and asked God to grant his family, friends, and the university community the strength to bear the loss.”
The late Dr. Adeyeye, who was an Associate Professor, joined the services of Ajayi Crowther University on October 1, 2007. A native of Ondo town in Ondo State, South-West Nigeria, Adeyeye served the University in various capacity, apart from being a respected lecturer in the Department of Business Administration.
He was a former Student/Staff Adviser, two-term Coordinator of MBA Programme, Chairman, Departmental National Universities Commission Accreditation Committee and member, ACU Webometrics.
