ACU DVCs, MBA Graduates Inducted into Chartered Institute of Administration
In a ceremony celebrating professionalism, integrity, and effective administration in Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, the Chartered Institute of Administration (CIA) on Friday, 14th August 2026, inducted the two Deputy Vice-Chancellors of the university, and graduates of its Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme into the Institute.
Prof. Afolake Olabiwoninu, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), and Prof. Olukayode Binuyo, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Administration), were conferred as Fellows of the prestigious Institute. Additionally, graduates of the university’s MBA programme were inducted as Members of the Chartered Institute of Administrators.
In her address at the induction ceremony, which underscored excellence in the university’s administration, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ebunoluwa Oduwole, described the occasion as a significant milestone not only for the inductees but for the entire university community.
According to her, “This ceremony is a celebration of professionalism, excellence, integrity, and commitment to effective administration.”
The Vice-Chancellor stressed that administration remains the backbone of every successful institution, noting that efficient administrative practices promote good governance, accountability, innovation, and sustainable development.
She noted that as a faith-based institution, ACU regards administration as an act of stewardship, requiring administrators to demonstrate responsibility and unwavering integrity in the discharge of their duties.
Charging the newly inducted members, Prof. Oduwole urged them to be “custodians of integrity, agents of efficiency, and ambassadors of value,” calling on them to uphold the core values of the Institute and demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism.
She further encouraged the inductees to contribute meaningfully to institutional growth and national development by applying their knowledge, skills, and professional values to their respective responsibilities.
Speaking at the ceremony, the President and Chairman of Council of the Chartered Institute of Administration, Adm. Ugochukwu Azubuko, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and the entire management team of the university for hosting the event.
Adm. Azubuko congratulated the inductees on becoming Fellows and Members of the Institute, describing the achievement as an important milestone in their professional development.
“The CIA prides itself on excellence and professionalism,” Azubuko stated. “We ensure our members are equipped with the administrative knowledge, character, and skills required for effective practice.”
He noted that the Institute is empowered to regulate the training and practice of administrators within the professional framework throughout Nigeria, adding that the CIA has continued to contribute significantly to human capital development through professional training, capacity building, and the promotion of best practices in administration.
The induction ceremony represents a growing synergy between ACU and professional bodies in Nigeria, ensuring that administrative professionals are properly credentialed and equipped to meet the challenges of modern governance and institutional management.
