The prestigious honour was bestowed on Prof. Oduwole during the college’s 41st Convocation Ceremony, held at the Chapel of Annunciation, AVCTA, on Thursday, 4th June, 2026.
The award was presented by the Chairman of the AVCTA Board of Governors and Lord Bishop of Ijesha-North East Diocese, The Rt. Rev. Joseph Olusola, alongside the Rector of AVCTA, Ven. Associate Prof. Moses Adetunmbi.
In his welcome address, Ven. The Rector reaffirmed the college’s commitment to the spiritual and intellectual formation of both clergy and laity, equipping them to meet the demands of the 21st century. He charged the graduating students to remain focused on their calling. “Give necessary and undivided attention to your calling without jettisoning your spiritual development as well as your character,” he admonished.
Prof. Oduwole, accompanied by a team of senior university officials, arrived at the college on Wednesday for the Convocation Lecture. Her arrival was marked by a ceremonial parade mounted by the college’s management team and the Boys’ Brigade. She was then led by Ven.
